Brigend Theatre

The Dumfries Musical Theatre Company (DMTC) was formed as the Dumfries Musical and Operatic Society (DMOS) in 1922, and changed its name at the beginning of 2008. The Company originally performed their productions in various locations. In 1972, the Society purchased a former church which was being used as a joiner's workshop and converted it into a 91 seat theatre - the Brigend Theatre - which is now their home.

DMTC perform two productions a year, with the Spring production (usually the end of April) being put on at the Theatre Royal, Dumfries, and the Autumn show in the Brigend Theatre at the end of November. A warm welcome awaits new members.

This delightful little theatre can be hired - click here for details.
