Putting Musical Theatre on the map in Dumfries
MUSICAL theatre is firmly On The Map in Dumfries and the Brigend Theatre is at the centre of its excellence.
The intimate venue in Market Square is the home of the renamed Dumfries Musical Theatre Company.
With our new name, new look and a new president in opera singer, Nicky Spence, we are set for an exciting future.
The Society was founded in 1922 as Dumfries Musical and Operatic Society and has produced over 90 shows
to appreciative Dumfries audiences. Comedy, tragedy, Gilbert and Sullivan, the American musicals,
new material and well known favourites, we have done them all.
Musical Theatre is what we do - we are a vibrant company and we want to reflect that to our audiences and to our members

Rehearsals are at 7.30pm
on 14th and 21st May, 
with Auditions on 28th May,
all at the Brigend Theatre.
(Then there is a break in rehearsals until Mid-August)
